In Writ Petition No. 7952 of 2018, this Court passed an order on 24.04.2019 and in paragraph 7 thereof, the following direction was issued :
Respondent No. 1 is directed to decide the representation filed by the petitioners as early as possible and preferably within a period of
three months from the date of the order. All questions are kept open for consideration.
As the direction has not been complied with, the present Contempt Petition came to be filed. 3.
Mrs. Jachak, learned AGP has filed an affidavit on behalf of the respondent - State, stating therein that the direction as issued in paragraph 7 in the aforesaid order, has been duly complied with. It is stated that the State Government has in the light of the Covid-19 Pandemic situation and having found that there is substantial shortfall in revenue coming to the State and the same has adversely affected financial situation, it has been decided vide Government Resolution dated 04.05.2020 that no additional financial burden can be taken by the State Government for new scheme and therefore, the grant of Scholarship and Stipend to the students in B.Sc. PMT cannot be considered by the State Government presently.

In this view of the matter, in the considered view of this Court, the direction as issued in the aforesaid Writ Petition on 24.04.2019 has been complied with. The petitioners are at liberty to agitate independently for release of Scholarship
and Stipends, if they are so advised.

Contempt Petition is disposed of accordingly.
