Mr. Chavan, Government Pleader has invited our attention to the directions issued by this Court on 05.04.2024 in Writ Petition No.2319 of 2024 wherein this Court has directed the Department of Public Health and Department of Medical Education and Drugs to formulate Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), which shall be issued to all the Government Hospitals and Medical Colleges in the State dealing with the issue of termination of pregnancy. 3.

Mr. Chavan has placed on record an affidavit duly sworn by Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Public Health, Government of Maharashtra. Accordingly, the SOPs which were framed by the State Government are placed on record and which were accomplished by the Government Resolution dated 03.06.2024.

We have seen the said Government Resolution along with SOPs to be adopted in the matter of termination of pregnancy beyond 24 weeks of gestation period with foetus anomaly. 5.

Prima facie, we are satisfied that there is compliance of the order passed by this Court on 05.04.2024.
