The petitioner along with 12 others came to be elected as members of Vividh Karyakari Co-operative Society, Asoli, in the elections that were held on 28-3-2023 and the results of which were declared on 3-4-2023. After the elections, the petitioner sought inclusion of his name in the voters' list and made a request in that regard to the District Election Officer, Co-operative Societiesrespondent No.2 vide application dated 28-3-2023. By another application dated 3-4-2023, similar request was made. Since no decision has been taken on the aforesaid applications, the petitioner has challenged the notification dated 7-2-2023 issued by the respondent No.1-State. We find that the election programme for elections to the Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Gondia has been declared on 27-3-2023.

In this backdrop, the interest of justice would be served by directing the respondent No.2 to consider the petitioner's applications dated 28-3-2023 and 3-4-2023 and pass an order thereon in accordance with law. Since the election programme is underway, necessary decision be taken by the respondent No.2 by 19-4-2023. With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Authenticated copy of this order be furnished to the counsel for the parties.
