Heard Mr. Jaiswal, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner. 2.

Mr. Jaiswal would invite our attention to the order dated 13.11.2024 passed in Writ Petition No. 5327 of 2024 thereby the performance license of the petitioner under the provisions of the Rules for Licensing and Controlling Places of Public Amusement (other than Cinema) and Performances for Public Amusement, including Melas and Tamashas, 1960, was directed to be renewed. According to him, the license was valid upto 31.12.2024, however inspite of there being request made by the petitioner for renewal of the same for further period of one year, the respondent authority has not taken any decision.

In this background, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition by directing the respondent no.2-Commissioner of Police, Nagpur, to deal with the claim of the petitioner for renewal of license as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of one week from today. The respondent no.2 shall consider the order dated 13.11.2024 passed in Writ Petition No.5327 of 2024 while deciding the claim of the petitioner. We permit the petitioner to appear before the respondent no. 2 on 04.04.2025 at 3.00 p.m.

The writ petition stands partly allowed in above terms. 5.
