CORAM : SMT.VASANTI A. NAIK AND V.M. DESHPANDE, JJ.

DATE : MAY 4 , 2016.

By this writ petition, the petitioner challenges the order of the Education Officer granting approval to the appointment of the respondent no.4 on the post of Assistant Teacher.

We are not inclined to entertain the petition at the behest of the petitioner. The petitioner has no locus standi to file the same. The petitioner was an erstwhile employee of the respondent no.3-School and after the services of the petitioner were terminated, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the School Tribunal that was dismissed. It was held that the termination of the petitioner was not bad in law. If the petitioner is no more working in the respondent no.3-School and the order of termination of the petitioner has attained finality, the petitioner would have no locus standi to challenge the orders of appointment of other teachers or approval granted to them.

Since the petitioner has no locus standi to file the writ petition, the writ petition is dismissed with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE APTE
