By this Criminal Writ Petition, the petitioner challenges the order of the D.I.G. (Prisons), dt.31.1.2017 rejecting the application of the petitioner for grant of furlough leave.

We find that the petitioner's application was rightly rejected in view of the amended provisions of Rule 4(13) of the Prisons (Bombay Furlough and Parole) Rules, 1959 as the petitioner is convicted for the offence of rape. Since there is no infirmity in the order of the D.I.G. (Prisons), we dismiss the Writ Petition with no order as to costs.
