DATED : 14-06-2019 The applicant is convicted for offence punishable under Section 20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for five years.

Considering the accusations which the trial Court has held proved, and the societal interest, I am not inclined to suspend the sentence.

However, since the sentence is not being suspended, the appeal shall have to be heard early. 4.

The learned Counsel for the applicant shall place on record copies of the depositions and such other documents on which he would rely during the course of hearing.
