By letter dated 17.03.2025, the District Judge - 2 and Additional Sessions Judge, Yavatmal seeking extension of time for disposal of the Special Case No.32/2020.

By order in Criminal Application (BA) No.393/2024 dated 23/09/2024, the Special Court was directed to dispose of the trial of Special Case No.32/2020 within three months. It is contended by the learned Judge that no writ was received in this regard but defence Counsel for the accused No.3 vide pursis Exh.164 had furnished the copy of the above order. Initially, the matter was with District Judge - 3 and Additional Sessions Judge, Yavatmal and recently it was transferred to his Court. It is further

(2) 901.ba.393.2024 contended that eight witnesses are already examined. Thus, there is progress in the trial. 3.

Considering the reasons mentioned in the letter, learned District Judge - 2 and Additional Sessions Judge, Yavatmal shall dispose of the trial within six months by keeping the same on day-to-day basis.

Inform the concerned Court accordingly.
