The issue pertains to the conferment of selection grade pay scale on the petitioner who is already superannuated and a senior citizen. 3.

Vide impugned order dated 28.10.2020 the Deputy Director of Education has rejected the claim for conferment of selection grade pay scale without resolving the issue as it was expected of the Deputy Director of Education to call for appropriate clarifications from the respondentManagement, instead of forming the basis on an incomplete information from the Management for rejecting the claim of the petitioner. 4.

That being so, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to appear before the Authority constituted vide Government Resolution dated 07.03.2024 as per Clause (b) headed by the Divisional Chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (concerned department) on 05.05.2025.

In the matter of conferment of selection grade pay scale the petitioner to submit written notes to the said Authority in any case by 05.05.2025. 5.

The said Authority shall take endeavour to decide the claim of the petitioner expeditiously and in any case within a period of eight weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner before it.

The Authority should be sensitive to the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen.
