Rule. Heard finally considering the short issue involved.

The petitioners have been appointed as Lecturers in the respondent no.5-College which is affiliated with the respondent no.4-University. It is the case of the petitioners that they are duly qualified and are therefore entitled to benefits as per career advancement scheme. They are also entitled to selection grade pay-scale. The respondent no.4-University has forwarded their proposals by the communications dated 09.11.2016 and 17.11.2016. According to the petitioners, no decision on the said proposals has been taken till date. In these facts, the respondent no.3 is directed to take a decision on the proposals dated 09.11.2016 and 17.11.2016 pertaining to the petitioners within a period of three months from the communication of this order, if such

WP2341.18 2/2 proposals are still pending. It is open for the respondent no.3 to seek guidance of the respondent no.2, if found necessary. With these directions, the petition is allowed and disposed of.

Rule accordingly. No orders as to costs.
