Learned Adv. Mr. S.B. Trivedi waives service for respondent no.1, and learned Adv. Mr. F.T. Mirza, for respondent no.2.
Mr. Mirza and Mr. Kumar, learned counsel for respondent no.2 - Reserve Bank of India have tendered before me three communications all dated 18th December, 2015 addressed to [1] the Chief Executive Officer, Indian Banks' Association, [2] the Chairman,
National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development, and [3] the President, National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks & Credit Societies Ltd. [NAFCUB]. They further submit that the Reserve Bank of India has realized the importance of the issue, at least now, and would not fail in its duty to rigorously implement the directions issued by the Reserve Bank of India with effect from 1st April, 2012 regarding reduction of the period of the cheque from six months to three months. They further state on instructions from the Reserve Bank of India that persuasion, follow-up and implementation would be scrupulously made and the Action-takenReport would be submitted to this Court within three months from 19th February, 2016.
Put on 20th June, 2016 for further consideration, if required.
