DATE : 27.06.2016 By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent - Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible.

Ms Mehta, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the Scrutiny Committee states, on instructions, that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending and the same would be decided as early as possible. It is stated that the petitioner has not supplied the correct address to the Scrutiny Committee and hence, the Scrutiny Committee is not able to communicate with the petitioner.

In view of the statements made on behalf of the Scrutiny Committee, we dispose of the writ petition with a

2706wp3120.16.odt direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible and positively within a period of one year. The petitioner should supply the correct address to the respondent - Scrutiny Committee on the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 11.07.2016.

Order accordingly. No costs.
