Hearing was conducted through Video Conferencing and the learned Counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

The applicant is arrested by the Police of Kotwali Police Station in connection with Crime No.176/2020 relating to offence punishable under Sections 307, 120-B, 188 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 25[3] and 25[4] of the Arms Act.

It is the prosecution case that at the relevant time the informant'

s father was standing on the road talking with his employees. At that time, the

applicant arrived and dealt knife blow at hand and back of informant'

s father causing bleeding injuries.

So also he has threatened the victim by showing a fire arm.

The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the injuries were on non-vital parts and the injured was discharged from the hospital within one week of the incident. He has invited my attention to paragraph no.5 of the reply where the State has contended that investigation is almost completed and charge sheet would be filed within a few days. 5.

The applicant is a young boy aged 19 years, who is in jail from 14.06.2020. The weapon namely knife, as well as fire arm were seized by the police. The injuries were at hand and back of the informant'

s father. Already investigation is practically completed and charge sheet is about to be presented. 6.

In current pandemic situation it is difficult to predict as to when the trial would commence. Having regard to all these facts, the applicant is entitled to grant of bail. Hence, the following order. (i) Criminal Application is allowed.

(ii) The applicant/accused - Mehdi Miyan @

Pintu Sayed Peer, is released on bail on his furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs. 25,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount.

(iii) The applicant/accused shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case, as also shall not tamper with the evidence.
