Both the petitioners seek benefit of grant of designation on the post of Sectional Engineer from 01.04.1997 by the Zilla Parishad, they having been granted such designation from 01.04.2005. According to the petitioners, in view of various Government Resolutions they are entitled to the designation on the post of Sectional Engineer from 01.04.1997. The petitioners have made representations dated 18.01.2017 to the Zilla Parishad and till date no decision thereon has been taken. The petitioners have since retired from service.

In these facts the interest of justice will be served by directing the Chief Executive Officer to consider the representations dated 18.01.2017 made by the petitioners seeking the designation on the post of Sectional Engineer from 01.04.1997. In the said representations the petitioners also seek the benefit under the Assured Career Progression Scheme.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Amravati to take a decision on the aforesaid representations, if the same has not yet been taken within a period of four weeks from receipt of copy of this order.

The petitioners shall place before the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Amravati the copy of this order and shall co-operate in the adjudication of the aforesaid representations. 6.
