By this application, the applicant seeks the suspension of sentence during the pendency of the appeal and release of the applicant on bail.

On a reading of the judgment of the trial Court, it appears that a case is made out by the applicant for suspension of the sentence during the pendency of the appeal and the release of the applicant on bail. The applicant was on bail during the trial and it is not likely that the appeal would be finally heard and decided within a short time. In the circumstances of the case, the prayer made in the application needs to be granted.

Hence, we hereby suspend the sentence till the decision of this appeal and grant bail to the applicant on the same terms and conditions on which she was granted bail during the pendency of the proceedings before the trial court. The criminal application is allowed in the aforesaid terms and disposed of.
