DATE : 10.06.2016 The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
Shri Sudame, the learned Counsel for the petitioner states that though the caste claim of the petitioner is referred to the Scrutiny Committee for verification more than 9 years earlier, the Scrutiny Committee has not decided the same.
Ms Kalia, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Scrutiny Committee states, on instructions, that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending and the same would be decided as early as possible.
In view of the statements recorded herein above, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as early as possible and positively within a period of eight months, as it is stated that the caste validity certificate is already granted in favour of the petitioner's father.
Order accordingly. No costs.
