DATED : 13-03-2024 It is the contention of Mr. A.R. Deshpande, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners that the petitioners were entitled for the annual increment which was due in the year of retirement on 1st July. According to him, the petitioners in such an eventuality cannot be denied opportunity or benefit of grant of conferment of annual increment because they are retired on 30th June. Drawing support from the Government Resolution dated 28-6-2023 and the judgments placed on which such Government Resolution is issued, he has claimed that the issue raised in the petition is already covered. 2.

He has specifically invited our attention to the observations of the Aurangabad Bench in Writ Petition No. 1881/2023 decided on 16-2-2023.

In view of above Government Resolution dated 28-6-2023, we direct the respondents-employer to

2 wp3084.22 reconsider the case of the petitioners for grant of annual increment and reconcile in case the petitioners are found entitled for such increment in their pension and extend the benefit in any case within a period of four months from production of copy of this order.
