Heard learned counsel for the rival parties.

Inter alia, the ground for claiming compounding in the present application is the event of pronouncement of Talaq by husband, reduced into writing on a stamp paper and produced before us. We are not inclined to accept the said ground for the prayer for compounding of the offence since this Court is not competent to pronounce the correctness, validity etc. regarding Talaq.

Learned counsel for the applicants submitted that Regular Criminal Case No.2601/2010 in question is of the year 2010 and, therefore, he prays that expeditious disposal of the trial may be ordered.

apl299.15 In view of above, we make the following order.

ORDER

(i) Criminal Application No.299/2015 is disposed of. The prayer for compounding the offence is rejected.

(ii) In exercise of the powers under Section 483 of the Cr. P. C., we direct the trial Court to dispose of Reg. Criminal Case No.2601/2010 as expeditiously as possible and, in any event, within a period of six months from today.

(iii) Writ be issued by Hamdast to the learned counsel for the applicants.
