2] The petitioners' claim of belonging to 'Raj' Scheduled Tribe and the tribe certificates issued to them are being verified by the Scrutiny Committee. It is submitted that the cousins of the petitioners have been issued validity certificates by virtue of judgment dated 20/12/2021 in Writ Petition No. 5380/2021 (Shantanu Prabhakar Mungalkar & Anr. Vs. State of Maharashtra & Ors.). As similar report of the vigilance cell is being considered by the Scrutiny Committee that was considered in the said matter and since the petitioners are undertaking education, they seek expeditious consideration of their claim. 3] The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the vigilance cell report has been completed and the petitioners' claim would be decided expeditiously.

4] The Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to decide the petitioners' tribe claim by the end of May - 2023 since the petitioners are students and desire to pursue further education. 5] Rule is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
