Vide our order dated 9.2.2017, we had expressed the concern that on one hand the State Government was decreasing the quota of the kerosene to be allotted to the citizens and on the other hand, surrendering the same to the Central Government. An affidavit has been filed by Shri Mahesh Pathak, Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department stating therein that taking into consideration that the surplus quota is available, the quota for the month of March, 2017 has been increased by one liter for one person, by three liters for two persons and four liters for three & above persons.

In that view of the matter, the concern in so far as the surrender of the quota in the present year is concerned is taken care of.

In so far as stamping of the ration cards is concerned, the learned Government Pleader makes a statement that in the

2.3CAO.977.16.PIL.16.14 said affidavit it has been stated that the work of stamping of gas connection on the ration cards would be completed within a period of three months from the date of the affidavit. We, therefore, grant extension by a period of three months for completing the work of stamping of the ration cards. S.O. after 12 weeks.
