CORAM : SMT. VASANTI A NAIK AND M.G. GIRATKAR, JJ.

DATE : AUGUST 08 , 2017.

Shri Ali, the learned counsel for the petitioner, seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition after perusing the affidavit-in-reply filed on behalf of the respondents on the basis of the amended Parole and Furlough Rules. It is stated that if at all the amended provision of the rules is struck down in a writ petition that challenges the same, the petitioner would again approach the appropriate authority for the grant of relief.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the criminal writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
