The applicant is in custody since 20.8.2020 in Crime 513/2020 for offence punishable under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

Even as per the prosecution, while the applicant allegedly demanded an amount of 5,000/-, the applicant ⏐ο did not meet the complainant thereafter.

Considering the case of the prosecution, no purpose shall be served by continuing with the custody. 6.

The application is allowed.

The applicant shall be released on furnishing P.R. Bond of 25,000/- with a surety of like amount. ⏐ο Considering the prevailing situation, the surety may be furnished within four weeks of the bail.

The applicant shall make himself available to the Investigating Officer as and when required, till filing of the charge sheet.

9.

The applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, make any attempt to influence the witnesses or otherwise tamper with the investigation.

10.

The applicant shall not leave the country without the permission of the trial Court.
