Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties. 3.

Admittedly, there is no scheme which is prevailing in respondent No.2-School for making of appointments on compassionate ground. Such being the position, in our view, the petitioner cannot be said to be entitled for the reliefs that she seeks here. But, considering the fact that the petitioner is the widow of the deceased employee of the school, we think it appropriate to issue a direction to respondent No.2-School for giving of opportunity to the petitioner to take part in the recruitment process, as and when it is initiated. 4.

Accordingly, the petition is dismissed and the Rule is discharged.

However, we direct respondent No.2 to allow the petitioner to take part in the recruitment process which may be initiated in future, subject to the condition that the petitioner fulfills eligibility criteria and the criteria relating to educational qualifications. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
