Present application is for seeking permission to refund the statutory amount as well as additional amount deposited by the appellant towards the compensation.

The appeal is already disposed of by amicable settlement. In view of the settlement, the original claimants have been allowed to withdraw the amount of Rs.16,50,000/- together with accrued interest thereon. However, the remaining amount of Rs.1,25,483/- is yet to be refunded to the Insurance Company alongwith statutory deposit.

In view of the reasons mentioned in the application, the amount of Rs.1,25,483/- alongwith accrued interest plus statutory deposit, which was deposited at the time of filing of the appeal be refunded to the Insurance Company alongwith Court Fee, as per the Rules.
