By this writ petition, the petitioner has sought a direction against the scrutiny committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner within a time frame. The petitioner has challenged the order of the respondent no.3 cancelling the appointment of the petitioner on the post of Director of Physical Education for not producing the caste validity certificate.

Ms Khan, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the scrutiny committee, states on instructions that the caste claim of the petitioner was verified by the scrutiny committee and the same is invalidated by the committee on 01.12.2016.

In view of the aforesaid, the prayers made by the petitioner cannot be granted. The petitioner is free to challenge the order of the scrutiny committee, if so advised. The writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs. JUDGE JUDGE APTE
