DATE : 11.05.2016.

P. C.

By this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order of the Industrial Court, dated 17/03/2008, so far as it denies fifty per cent back wages to him.

This Court had admitted the writ petition on 03/11/2009 and had expedited the hearing. Since the counsel for the petitioner was appointed as a Judge in the District Court, this Court had issued notice to the petitioner for engagement of another counsel on 17/11/2015. The said notice appears to have been served on the petitioner within a short time. The matter was re-certified as ready for final hearing on 04/01/2016 as the same was directed to be fixed for hearing on 11/01/2016. The petitioner has not engaged another counsel during the past six months. It is most likely that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter as it appears that no counsel has filed vakalatnama on behalf of the petitioner, till date.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
