CORAM : MANISH PITALE J.

DATE : 15.03.2022.

The petitioner was constrained to invoke writ jurisdiction in the present matter, despite having filed a revision application before the Competent Authority in the State Government, for the reason that due to surge in the Covid-19 Pandemic at the relevant time, the said Authority was unable to take up the revision application for consideration on merits. 2.

On 13.07.2020, while issuing notice in the present writ petition, this Court has granted interim relief in favour of the petitioner.

3.

The respondent informed this Court that now the Competent Authority in the State Government will be able to consider the revision application filed by the petitioner and that the writ petition could be disposed of.

2 908-WP2164.21.odt 4.

In view of the above, since the petitioner has already approached the Competent Authority by way of filing revision application, which is pending and now the authority is taking up such matters for consideration, it would be appropriate that the present Writ Petition is disposed of by giving suitable directions to the said Authority.

5.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, by directing that the revision application filed by the petitioner before the Competent Authority of the State Government shall be taken up by such Competent Authority for consideration on merits.

6.

The interim order granted by this Court on 13.07.2020, shall continue to operate in favour of the petitioner during the pendency of the revision application. The Competent Authority is directed to decide the revision application as expeditiously as possible and in any case within eight weeks from today.
