The applicant is in judicial custody since 5.11.2017 in connection with Crime 231/2016 registered at Police Station Korpana, District Chandrapur for offence punishable under section 376 (2)(N)(I) of the Indian Penal Code section 6, 5 (L) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 The submission of Shri Y.B. Mandpe that the sexual relationship appears to be consensual. Since this court was not inclined to entertain the application, the learned counsel Shri Mandpe seeks liberty to withdraw the application unconditionally. The limited submission is that the trial be expedited.

The learned Trial Court is requested to conclude the trial expeditiously and in any event within nine months from today.
