02] By this application, the applicant is seeking condonation of delay of seven days in filing the criminal appeal against the order of acquittal dated 28/03/2023 recorded by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Court No.2, Akot in S.C.C. No.782/2019. 03] The reason mentioned in the application for condonation is that, when the applicant contacted his Counsel in the first week of June, 2023 for the purpose of filing criminal appeal, the learned Counsel took time in collecting the necessary information from the accused and preparing the criminal appeal, and, therefore, the delay was caused. 04] Though it is claimed that there is a delay of 7 days, infact there is delay of 27 days. Be that as it may, considering the period of delay and the reasons mentioned in the application, the application is allowed. The delay caused in filing the criminal appeal is hereby condoned. The application is disposed of accordingly. 05] Criminal Appeal be registered.
