By this writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the fees-structure for the admission to the dental courses in private medical colleges. The petitioners have sought a direction against the respondent no.2 to fix uniform fees for all the medical colleges throughout the State.

It appears that the cause for filing the writ petition has been rendered infructuous as the petition was filed in the year 2005 and since the interim relief was refused, the petitioners were directed to deposit the fees as fixed by Justice Pandit Commission. It appears that during the pendency of the writ petition, a policy of fixing uniform fees in the colleges has come into force. It is informed that the Shikshan Shulk Samiti fixes the fees in the Government Medical Colleges and Dental Course, from time to time.

Since the cause for filing the writ petition must have been rendered infructuous, the writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs. Rule stands discharged. JUDGE JUDGE Gulande, PA
