Hearing was conducted through video conferencing and the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

The applicant is apprehending arrest in Crime 222/2020, registered with Chandur Railway Police Station, for offence punishable under sections 306, 504, 506 read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The case of the prosecution is that Anurag committed suicide on 2.8.2020.

The report is lodged by the father of the deceased on 7.8.2020 and the allegation is that there was a relationship between the deceased and the applicant, who is aged 19 years, and that the father of the applicant used to visit the house of the informant and issue threats. It is

aba364of2020 further the case of the prosecution that the applicant and her father visited the house of the informant along with police officers and obtained a written statement that the deceased and the applicant shall not meet each other again. According to the prosecution, the applicant used to contact the deceased on his cellphone and threaten that she would commit suicide.

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that as a fact it was the family of the deceased who did not approve of the relationship and it is possible that the suicide is the fall out of the pressure exerted by the family. 7.

Complying with the order of interim protection, the applicant has attended the Police Station and the learned APP Shri B.M. Lonare, fairly states that she has cooperated.

Considering the allegations, this application can be allowed. The applicant is a young woman and in any event, custodial interrogation is not necessary. 9.

The application is allowed.

10.

The interim order dated 25.8.2020 is made absolute.
