Learned I/c.Government Pleader appearing for Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 seeks time to taker instructions in the matter, including instructions on this amendment application and, therefore, she urges that this this amendment application, for the present, be kept pending.

Considering the fact that what has been sought to be amended is nothing but the developments which have occurred during pendency of this petition and the fact that the proposed amendment is only the consequential amendment, we do not think

CA.426.21 that any purpose would be served by granting some more time to the Respondent-State to file its reply to the amendment application. Rather, it would be more appropriate that State is granted opportunity to file its reply to the amendments which are to be introduced. In any case, this amendment does not change the basic nature of this petition.

In view of the above, the Civil Application is allowed. The amendment be carried out on or before the next date. Copy of the amended petition be filed on record; its copies be furnished to each of the parties. The Respondents are granted liberty to file their respective replies to the amendment so brought on record, if any.
