DATE : JULY 22 , 2016.

On hearing the learned counsel for the parties for some time, we find that the petitioner would not have a locus standi to file the writ petition as the petitioner was allotted a sand ghat at Gadchiroli. The learned counsel for the petitioner, however, states that the issue involved in this case should be taken up in public interest. It is stated that the petitioner would file a petition and seek the registration of the same as a Public Interest Litigation. The learned counsel seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition in this background. We permit the petitioner to withdraw the writ petition.

The petitioner may take appropriate steps.

The points raised in the petition are kept open. JUDGE JUDGE APTE
