Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent Nos. 1 and 2 are under an obligation to initiate acquisition proceedings in respect of the land owned by the petitioner. He submits that the petitioner has made a representation dated 18/04/2022, which is still not decided.

Be that as it may, since the issue has not been decided by the respondent No. 2, we direct that present petition be treated as a representation. The same shall be decided by the respondent No.2, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to produce a copy of this order along with the writ petition before the respondent No.2 within a period of one week from today.
