RULE. Rule made returnable forthwith and heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner seeks expeditious consideration of the proceedings filed under Section 39(1) of the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959. 3.

On 03.05.2023, the learned Additional Government Pleader was directed to obtain instructions as regards the period within which the said proceedings would be decided. On instructions, it is submitted that the proceedings are now fixed on 20.06.2023 for hearing.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.1 to decide the said proceedings by concluding the hearing by 20.06.2023. The orders therein be passed within a period of one week from the date of conclusion of hearing.
