The applicant no.1 husband and applicant no.2 his ex-wife along with other relatives are before this Court for quashing of criminal proceedings registered under Section 498A read with Section 34 of the IPC vide FIR No.196/2014, the charge-sheet arising out of that FIR and Regular Criminal Case No.304165/14 pending on the file of 23rd C.J.J.D. & J.M.F.C., Nagpur.

It is not in dispute that before Counsellor working with the office of Family Court, a compromise was arrived at in Case No. A-462/2016 on 07.04.2017. The said compromise was presented to the Family Court in those proceedings on 13.04.2017. Accepting that compromise, a decree of divorce by mutual consent has been passed.

Applicant nos. 1 and 2 are present before this Court and they ratify the development noted supra. They jointly

Mrs. Chandekar, the learned counsel for the applicants, has identified them and she also seeks an order accordingly.

In view of the joint request, we make the rule absolute in terms of prayer clauses (1) and (2). The application stands allowed accordingly.
