The applicants are apprehending arrest in Crime No.584/2022, registered with Police Station Kotwali, District Amravati for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 483, 486, 467, 468, 471, 336, 486 read with Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 51 and 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957.

The applicants are apprehending arrest at the hands of the Police as one crime was registered against the Pharmacist of which the applicant is the proprietor. The said application is replied by the State, wherein it is specifically mentioned that as the applicants are protected and directed to attend before the Investigating Officer, the applicants are attended the Investigating Officer and their statements are recorded.

It is further submitted by the State that the custodial interrogation of the present applicants are not required. Moreover, the applicants are also not made accused by the Investigating Officer, therefore, at this stage, there is no apprehension that the applicants would be arrested in the present crime.

In view of the specific statement made by the State in the reply, the applicants/accused are not arraigned as an accused in the above said crime. So, the apprehension at this stage is groundless and hence, the application is to be disposed of.

In view of the above discussion, the criminal application is disposed of.
