On 11-12-2025, following order was passed.
"The Counsel for the petitioner submits that he had restricted his prayer to securing grants admissible in terms of Government Resolution dated 23/3/2018 formulating scheme for running 'Swadhar Gruh' for taking care of destitute women till the time registration was in existence, and not after cancellation of registration.
2] In this regard, the petitioner has now moved an application seeking directions against the respondents to release pending dues. The Counsel for the petitioner has invited our attention to a communication dated 1/10/2025 issued by the Under Secretary, Government of India to the Joint Secretary, State Government of Maharashtra, requesting him to take necessary action for releasing pending liability for the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21, and to inform Central

3] Despite such status, the State Government has not taken appropriate action and has not released the dues.
4] We, therefore, call upon respondent nos.
2 to 4/State to show cause as to why should they be not directed to pay interest @ 9% per annum on the amount due till its realization. The amount of interest shall be deducted from the pocket of the officers responsible for delayed action. The learned A.P.P. shall take instructions and file reply affidavit. 5] List on 18/12/2025.
6] All concerned shall act on authenticated/ uploaded copy of order."

In response, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the payment due and payable to the petitioner up to financial years 201920 and 2020-21 shall be made on or before 19-3-2026. The statement is accepted as an undertaking given to this Court. So far as payment of interest @ 9% p.a. is concerned, we grant liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings in this regard, if so desired. 3.
The petition is disposed of in above terms.
