Hearing was conducted through video conferencing and the learned counsel agreed that the audio and visual quality was proper.

The applicant is seeking bail under Section 439 of the Criminal Procedure Code (for short 'Code') in connection with Crime 574 of 2021 registered with Police Station Ramdaspeth, Akola, under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. 3.
The crime is registered on the basis of complaint dated 10-06-2021 lodged by an employee of a liquor shop who alleged that the applicant demanded certain amount as protection money. According to the prosecution, a trap was laid and the applicant was apprehended accepting illegal gratification of ₹ 27,000/-.

Considering the fact that there is no likelihood of the applicant being in a position to influence the material witnesses, and considering the quantum of punishment which the applicant

2/2 may suffer if ultimately convicted, a case for bail is made out. 5.
The applicant be released on bail in connection with Crime 574/2021, registered with Police Station, Ramdaspeth, Akola, for offence punishable under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, on executing PR bond of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) with one solvent surety of the like amount.

The applicant shall, within 48 hrs of release from custody, furnish the current residential and office address, cell number/s and any other relevant details by placing on record of the jurisdictional Court an appropriate praecipe and shall scrupulously update this information in case of any change. 7.
The applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, make any attempt to influence the witnesses or otherwise tamper with the evidence.
8.
The applicant shall not leave the country without the permission of the trial Court.
