DATED : 19/04/2023 In the matter of Insurance claims, the Hon'ble Apex Court in Surekha Rajendra Nakhate and others Vs. Santosh Namdeo Jadhav and others, 2020 ACJ 2156, has held that even if a cross objection is not filed by the claimant, it would be permissible of the appellate Court to grant enhanced compensation, considering which, the application for condonation of delay in Civil Application (CAO) No.101/2022 is allowed.

The cross-objection be taken on record.
