The grievance of the petitioner is that although, he has completed the specialized training programmes in the field of Disaster Management and although he is desirous of being considered for his appointment to different posts available with respondent No.4, by following regular selection process, no opportunity is being made available to a candidate like the petitioner and also several other similarly situated candidates. The petitioner has therefore, sought the following reliefs :- (i) Direct the respondents to constitute a committee to look into the matter of direct absorption of candidtes having qualification in the field of disaster management;

2 W.P.No.3427.2021 (ii) Direct the respondent to issue appropriate guidelines carving out categories of posts in which new aspirants like petitioner can directly be recruited through competitive exams;

There is a communication dated 19.03.2021, which appears to be a reply given to the petitioner in order to address his concern. It shows that there is already in existence a policy for filling up some posts by following the recruitment process i.e. by publishing of an advertisement in the employment news and uploading the vacancy circular on the National Disaster Management Authority(NDMA) website and so on and so forth. It further shows that according to this policy, the regular posts of NDMA are also filled up by posting of cadre officers from Central Secretarial Service Cadre or Central Secretarial Stenographer Service or Central Secretarial Official Language Service by department of Personnel and Training of Ministry of Home Affairs or by way of deputation.

So, the grievance of the petitioner is adequately redressed by the communication dated 19.03.2021 and thus, we find no merit in the petition. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
