The applicant apprehends arrest in Crime 9/2018 registered with Police Station Mul, District Chandrapur for offence punishable under Sections 65(e), 83 and 98(2) of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor fairly states that there is no material to show that the applicant has criminal antecedents. The name of the applicant has surfaced during the interrogation of the co-accused. The contraband is seized.

In this view of the matter, I am inclined to allow the application.

The interim order dated 27-4-2018 is confirmed.

The applicant shall abide by the conditions of the interim order with the modification that the attendance at the Police Station shall be every Sunday between 10-00 a.m. and 12-00 p.m. till the filing of the chargesheet. JUDGE adgokar
