Heard.

The applicant, apprehending arrest in connection with crime registered for offence punishable under Sections 65(e), 81 and 83 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act and Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, has sought pre-arrest bail.

According to the investigating agency, though sale of liquor in Chandrapur district is prohibited, huge stock of liquor worth Rs.2,50,000/- is seized from the house of co-accused Kansu Nishad and during investigation it is found that the applicant is also involved in the crime.

The applicant, aged about 26 years, claims to be a Labourer and has stated that he is not involved in

2 aba285.17 any other crime / offence.

This Court has granted protection to the applicant by the order passed on 27th April, 2017. The investigating agency has not made any complaint that the applicant has not co-operated with it.

Considering the facts of the case and nature of accusations against the applicant, the order passed by this Court on 27th April, 2017 granting protection to the applicant is confirmed.

The application is allowed in the above terms. JUDGE Tambaskar.
