The petitioner is a convicted who has applied on 24.10.2022 for grant of regular parole on account of illness of his father. It is petitioner's contention that neither he was informed about the status of his application nor according to him, it was decided till date. Obviously, if the petitioner calls for parole particularly on the ground of father's illness, the authority has to take call at the earliest in either way.

In view of above, the respondent No. 2 is directed to decide the concerned application within two weeks from the receipt of this order. In case application has been already decided, the result shall be communicated to the petitioner within above stipulated period.
