By this writ petition, the petitioner, the talathi, has challenged his transfer from Akoli to Digar Gavhan. Shri Madiwale, the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents, raises a preliminary objection to the tenability of the writ petition. It is stated that in stead of availing the alternate remedy of filing an original application before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, the petitioner has rushed to this court. By upholding the preliminary objection raised on behalf of the respondents, we decline to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of with no order as to costs.

The petitioner is free to avail the alternate remedy.
