NAGPUR BENCH : NAGPUR WRIT PETITION NO. 8735 OF 2018 (Abhijit s/o Vijayrao Gawai V/s Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd.) Office Notes, Office Memoranda of Coram, Appearances, court's orders or directions and Prothonotary's orders Court's or Judge's orders None for the Petitioner.
------ CORAM : SUNIL B. SHUKRE AND S. M. MODAK, JJ.
DATE : JULY 10, 2019 .
This matter has been called twice. On the first occasion, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner informed this Court that Petitioner wanted to change his Advocate, and therefore, at least two weeks' time be granted. 2.
This Court expressed an opinion that the Petition having been filed on 20th April, 2018, it would not be possible for this Court to adjourn the matter on such a ground, and even if it was to be adjourned, this Court would consider imposition of costs because the Registry of this Court has incurred expenses in maintaining this Petition on record of the High Court, which is required to be compensated.

Thereupon, the learned Counsel made a request for passing over of the matter, as his Senior would appear before this Court later to explain any other circumstances in support of the ground so taken.
4.
On the second occasion, which is the present one, nobody has appeared on behalf of the Petitioner. It is obvious that the first adjournment sought was not on the genuine ground and the effort is only to prolong the matter for no reason.
5.
Such a Petition cannot be entertained by this Court. Petition stands dismissed with costs of Rs. 500/-, to be deposited in the account of High Court Legal Services Sub Committee, Nagpur.
