The applicant apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.209 of 2020 registered against him for the offences punishable under Sections 452, 394 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, has approached this Court by this application.

The facts on record show that there was a counter case against the applicant, complaint having been lodged against the applicant by the husband of the present complainant. The accusations are that the applicant forcibly entered the house of the complainant on the date and time as stated in the First Information Report and snatched gold chain and ear-rings costing about Rs.9,000/- and Rs.6,000/- respectively. The applicant, aged about 45 years, claims that he is a businessman and is also doing social service. The applicant is residing in the neighbourhood of the complainant. Except for the crime registered against the applicant on the complaint lodged by the husband of the present complainant, as referred above, according to the

2 LD-VC-ABA89.20 applicant, any other crime / offence is not registered against him.

Considering the facts of the case, nature of accusations and the present situation, I am of the view that the applicant should be protected.

Hence, the following order :

In the event of arrest in connection with Crime No.209 of 2020 registered with the Non-applicant Police Station, the applicant be released on bail on executing P.R. Bond for Rupees Twenty Thousand and depositing Rupees Ten Thousand towards cash security.

The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. and 01:00 p.m., till filing of the chargesheet.

The applicant need not attend the Police Station if the Investigating Agency informs him in writing that he is not required to attend the Police Station.

The Criminal Application is allowed in the above terms.
