By this application, the applicant/original petitioners are seeking stay of the judgment and order dated 06.06.2022 passed by this Court whereby writ petition filed by the petitioners was dismissed.

It is contended that the petitioners intend to challenge the said judgment and order of this Court by approaching the Hon'ble Supreme Court. It is further submitted that since the Hon'ble Supreme Court is closed for summer vacation, stay of the effect and operation of the judgment and Prity

2 / 2 1.caw1264.2022 order of this Court is necessary, in the absence of which the petitioners may be prejudiced.

This Court has considered the contention raised on behalf of the petitioners. In the judgment and order dated 06.06.2022 itself this Court has found that for a number of years the petitioners have successfully evaded the effect of proceedings under the Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holdings), Act, 1961, on one count or the other. Further, there is nothing placed on record in the present application to indicate any steps taken by the respondent of the State authorities in pursuance of the aforesaid judgment and order of this Court. There is no ground made out for grant of stay of the said judgment and order of this Court.

Hence, the application is dismissed.
