The relief sought by the petitioner is to direct the respondents to declare the results of the examination that was held on 17.01.2016 in the matter of promotion of non-executive cadre to the executive cadre. In reply filed on behalf of the respondents, it has been stated in paragraph 16 that the examination that was held on 17.01.2016 has been cancelled on 11.07.2017 and further steps have been taken to conduct a fresh examination by December 2020.

In the light of these submission made in the reply, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. It is accordingly, disposed of. No costs.
