The only prayer made in the writ petition is for a direction against the respondents to decide the appeal filed by the petitioners under Section 47 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 within a time frame.

Shri Khajanchi, the learned counsel for the petitioners, states that after the writ petition is filed, the State Government has heard the matter on 28.9.2016 and the orders are likely to be passed in the appeal in the near future.

Since the prayer made by the petitioners is innocuous, we direct the State Government to decide the appeal filed by the petitioners within three months and continue the interim relief, till the appeal is decided.

Order accordingly. No costs.
